Equine and Canine Certification Program
Our certification program will help you through every step of building your own equine and/or canine assisted therapy program. Developed by Colleen Campbell, certified trainer with the IAABC and Cris Carl, licensed LDAC therapist who specializes in trauma and it's effect on the brain. Our program uses an intensive, hybrid model that combines online tutorials, virtual classroom discussions and in person training. The program is set up so you are able to fit it into your current life and work at your own pace.
This program includes:
Foundation: finding your voice and niche in the field
Pillar one: This is the magic, learning about and experiencing the feel of these programs
Pillar two: The science behind the magic, nervous system regulation, How the brain functions and heals, the vagus nerve, co-regulation, learning about the science behind the magic and why these programs work
Pillar three: Training your equine and canine partners, keeping you and your animal partners happy and healthy, How to read canine and equine body language and understand their behaviors
Pillar four: working with clients, building a safe atmosphere for healing
Cornerstone sessions: research, exercises and lesson plans for your chosen specialty

Certification
This program can be purchased in sections or as a package to allow you to fit it into your life and budget. Each section takes about 3 months to complete. The certification is given after the foundation, four pillars and at least one cornerstone session is completed.
Once certified you will be eligible for our Professionals membership. We will add you to our list of practitioners on our website.
Our Professionals membership has yearly dues and continued education requirements that can be filled with our training program or other conferences and workshops in animal assisted therapy, psychology, trauma recovery, positive reinforcement animal training. Conferences and workshops outside of our program can be submitted for approval before signing up if they are not already listed on our preapproved directory.
